Bowood Cottage
PLEASE NOTE: Friday changeover during peak season
This is a lovely welcoming cottage, ideal for families or a group of friends. The cottage is converted from the original 250 year old farmhouse and still retains authentic features including the large open fireplace (now with an electric stove), the bread oven, the oak beams and the original slate flagstones in the porch and the kitchen. Bowood Cottage has an excellently equipped kitchen and a large comfortable sitting room / dining room.

All three bedrooms are on the first floor including:
- Super king size bedroom with linked beds that can be used as two singles if required.
- Bedroom with twin 3′ single beds
- Single bedroom with trundle bed under
Kitchen & Dining
The kitchen has been recently fully refurbished and is equipped with a double electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, full size fridge/freezer and washing machine
The dining area is open plan with the sitting room and there is a hatch through to the separate kitchen.
Living Room
With its two sofas, chairs and tub chair the living room has plenty of comfortable seating for relaxing in, watching the smart tv or simply enjoying the peace and quiet of this old cottage with its centuries of tradition. There are patio doors which open on to the small enclosed garden with patio furniture, BBQ (charcoal is not provided) and a rotary dryer.
Bathrooms
The bathroom is on the first floor and includes a large walk-in shower.
Outside
The large courtyard has ample parking space for cars and is totally private for guests of Bowood Farm Cottages. It is accessed down a small lane and benches around the edge of the courtyard provide a real suntrap for enjoying a morning coffee.
On Site Facilities
We have the wonderful added facility of a large Play Barn available for the communal use of all our guests. In the barn there is badminton, table tennis, pool tables, air hockey, children’s games and play equipment and also beach equipment for guests to borrow, as well as numerous sofas to sit on. The barn is open from 10am to 8pm.
If you would like to consider hiring this facility for evening entertainment , including trestle tables and chairs please discuss with Ann when booking the cottage.

Bedroom Comforts
The beds in all the bedrooms have quality sprung mattresses with all bedding provided together with a bath towel and hand towel for each guest.
Play Barn
We have the wonderful added facility of a large Play Barn available for the communal use of all our guests staying at Bowood Farm Cottages. In the barn there is badminton, table tennis, pool tables, air hockey, children’s games and play equipment and also beach equipment for guests to borrow, as well as numerous sofas to sit on. The barn is open from 10am to 8pm.
Checkin & Checkout
Check-in is from 4pm and a key safe is provided for each cottage.
Check-out is by 10am.
Cancellation Policy
Full refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking, if the check-in date is at least 14 days away. 50% refund for cancellations made at least 7 days before check-in. No refunds for cancellations made within 7 days of check-in.
House Rules
No stag or hen parties allowed.
One dog in Horseshoe Barn and Corn House is allowed at our discretion, please contact Ann before booking. Our policy regarding dogs is that we ask an extra fee of £40 per dog payable with the booking. We ask that it is kept from going upstairs (stair gates provided if requested) and that it is kept on a lead while outside on the property and in the play barn. Please note that dogs must not be left unattended in the Cottage at any time. We ask that all dog litter is disposed of in the bin provided.
